NAGPUR: The Nrityarambha Kathak Dance Class concluded its 2024 annual festival with a vibrant celebration at the Maharishi Vyas Auditorium, Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Auditorium in Reshimbagh on Saturday, August 3rd. The event featured captivating performances by students who showcased their skills in Talpaksha and Bhavapaksha, demonstrating the beauty and complexity of classical Kathak dance.

Under the tutelage of Shabari Puranik, the students delivered impressive performances that were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Puranik also gave a solo rendition of Sawari Taala, showcasing her expertise and adding a highlight to the program.

The performances were enriched by the accompaniment of talented young artists from Nagpur: Sarang Sambre on harmonium, Atharva Bhalerao on violin, Atharva Shesh on tabla, Radha Thengadi on vocals, with Shabari Puranik on padhant, and Avni Kashikar accompanying the performance. The program was skillfully conducted by Shital Pote, ensuring a smooth flow of events.

A large audience attended the festival, including the parents of the students, whose presence boosted the confidence and enthusiasm of the performers.
