MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan emphasized the importance of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco-friendly manner, urging people to be mindful of the environment during the festivities. Speaking on Wednesday, Salman expressed his concern about the sight of idol parts scattered in the sea after the festival, calling it a disheartening sight.
As part of his commitment to the cause, Salman has partnered with the Divjay Foundation, along with the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai, Mumbai Police, and Chattra Sansad, for the “Bacche Bole Morya” initiative. This campaign advocates for cleanliness and promotes eco-friendly practices during Ganesh Chaturthi.
Salman shared that his family has been bringing home eco-friendly Ganesh idols for many years and highlighted the importance of maintaining purity in the celebration to truly honor the spirit of the festival.
